As much as you think it might be easier to disregard your thoughts and to runaway from your problems by pushing them to the back of your mind, it can make things 10 times worse in the long run when everything eventually becomes too much. There is no shame in admitting that there’s something on your mind- dealing with it at the time is healthier and wiser. Anything is fixable, and you should care about yourself enough to face it head on and knock them down.
THE ONLY WAY PROBLEMS CAN GET FIXED IS BY MAKING THE FIRST STEP
It can be frightening talking about your problems if you just want to forget about them but it’s so imperative for your health and wellbeing. Trying to push a thought into the back of the mind is dangerous because then you allow it to slowly manifest and eat you up without you even realising it. Some things arent easy to talk about, but once you do, it gives you room to grow and to deal with the problem and let the thought go.
MOVING AWAY/TRAVELLING WILL NOT MAKE YOUR THOUGHTS DISSAPEAR
Yes, sometimes it’s good to have a fresh start by moving away/travelling and meeting new people. However, if there is something within your life/mind that you want to demolish once and for all, you need to face it. No matter where you are in the world, your problems will always be there if you don’t take action. Know that you don’t need to runaway to a different place to allow you to be happy- you can make the changes all on your own. Give yourself time to think straight and then decide on where you want to go.
THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEBODY WHO WILL LISTEN TO YOU
Don’t think that you are a burden to others, there is always somebody out there who cares and wants to know how you are. If you feel like there is nobody around you that you feel happy talking to, find a professional or a volunteer. They care about how you feel, otherwise they wouldn’t be doing the job that they are doing!
YOU ARE STRONGER THAN WHAT YOU THINK
Even when we feel like we are weak and want to give up, we don’t. You are still here and you are still going, so that is a massive achievement in itself! Everyday you fight through your own battles and although you might not think that you’re doing that well, I can gurantee that you are.
TURN YOUR EXPERIENCES INTO A POSITIVE
If you have been through something that has been tough, use it to your advantage! Use it to help other people and to create works of art. Helping others and creativity is healing and enlightening.
